Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This policy explains what information Findora keeps when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to run your account and the service.

What we keep

  • Account details: your name, email address and country, and your phone number if you choose to add one.
  • How you heard about us, if you choose to tell us.
  • Your password, stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that can't be turned back into the password. We never see it.
  • Your discoveries: the store addresses you check and the public product information found.
  • Your activity history: sign-ins, discoveries, exports, credit changes and account changes, with the date and time. You can see it on your Activity page.
  • Your credits and a record of every change to them.
  • A record of the emails we send you, such as whether delivery worked. Not the email contents.
  • Messages you send us with the Contact us form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply.

What we don't keep

  • We don't store payment card details. Findora doesn't take payments.
  • We don't keep your exported files. They're created when you download them.
  • We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell your information.
  • We don't download or store product images; only their web addresses.

Why we use it

  • To run your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
  • To run discoveries and exports, and show you your results and history.
  • To send you emails about your account, such as confirmation links, password resets, sign-in codes, and notices about your credits.
  • To prevent abuse, for example by limiting how many attempts can be made in a short time.
  • To understand, in general, how Findora is used so we can improve it.

Emails you can turn off

Sign-in alerts and low-credit reminders can be turned off any time in Account settings, or with the unsubscribe link in those emails. Security emails (like password resets and sign-in codes) are always sent because they protect your account.

Cookies

Findora only uses cookies that are needed to sign you in and keep your account secure. We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking.

How long we keep it

  • Discoveries: 7 days, and only your 5 most recent.
  • Activity history, email records and Contact us messages: 180 days.
  • Account details: until you delete your account.

Who else handles it

We use trusted service providers to host Findora and to deliver our emails. They handle information only to provide those services to us. We may share information if the law requires it.

Your choices

  • You can see and change your details in Account settings.
  • You can see your activity on the Activity page.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Account settings. Your account, discoveries and credits are deleted. Any remaining activity records lose their link to you and are removed when they expire.
  • You can ask us any question about your information by emailing support@findora.ink.

Security

We protect your account with hashed passwords, secure sign-in sessions, email confirmation, optional two-step login and sign-in alerts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.

Children

Findora is not meant for children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll let you know by email.
