Store Audit: SEO & AI readiness

Find what holds a store back in search and AI assistants: an overall score, a fix-first list, a printable report and a ready-made llms.txt.

Uses 3 credits

What the Store Audit checks

Enter a Shopify or WooCommerce store address and Findora reads up to 50 of its public pages, one per second and following its robots.txt: the home page, the sitemap, a sample of product, collection and information pages, robots.txt, llms.txt and the store's public product data. You get an overall score out of 100 and three section scores, with every problem explained in plain language and a “Fix this first” list of the changes that matter most.

SEO, AI readiness and catalogue

SEO covers page titles and meta descriptions (missing, too long or duplicated), one main heading per page, image alt text, broken pages, pages hidden from search with noindex, and whether there's a sitemap.

AI readiness checks whether the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and other assistants may read your product pages according to robots.txt, whether your store has an llms.txt, and how complete the product structured data is (name, image, description, SKU, brand, price, currency, availability and GTIN), which AI assistants and search engines use to understand products.

Catalogue looks at the products themselves: empty or very short descriptions, products with fewer than two images, the share that's out of stock, and prices that look like typos.

A report you can share, and a ready llms.txt

Print the report or save it as a PDF to share with a developer, a client or your team. The audit also writes an llms.txt for the store from its home page, collections, products and information pages, with simple steps to publish it on Shopify (a file plus a URL redirect) or WordPress (upload to the site's main folder).

Credits and limits

An audit uses 3 credits, only when there's a result. The same store again within 24 hours shows your saved report for free; “Check again” reads the store afresh. Without an account you can see the overall score. The audit reads a sample of pages, not every page of a large store, so treat it as a health check that points you to patterns to fix across the store.

Frequently asked questions

Which pages does the audit read?

Up to 50 public addresses: the home page, robots.txt, llms.txt, the sitemap, the store's public product data and a sample of up to 24 product, 8 collection and 6 information pages, one per second, following robots.txt.

How is the score calculated?

Each section starts at 100 and loses points per problem, weighted by how many pages are affected and how much it matters. The overall score is 40% SEO, 30% AI readiness and 30% catalogue.

Should I allow AI crawlers?

The search and assistant crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) are how AI assistants find and recommend products, so most stores allow them. Blocking training crawlers is a business choice; the report treats it as minor.

What is llms.txt?

A proposed standard (llmstxt.org): a short Markdown file at /llms.txt that summarises your site and links its key pages for AI tools. It's optional and not every assistant reads it yet, but it's quick to add.

Can I audit a competitor's store?

Yes. The audit only reads public pages, the same way a search engine does, and follows the store's robots.txt.

What does it cost?

3 credits per audit, only when there's a result. Reopening the same store's report within 24 hours is free.
