What the CSV converter does
The converter turns a Shopify product CSV into a WooCommerce import file, or a WooCommerce product CSV into a Shopify import file. It keeps titles, descriptions, prices and sale prices, SKUs, categories, tags, images and variants with their options, so you can move a catalog from one platform to the other without retyping it.
The new file is written by the same code as Findora's own exports, so it follows the same tested format: products import as drafts, Shopify gets at most three options per product (extra attributes are kept as tags), and WooCommerce variations are linked to their parent product by SKU.
Your file stays on your device
The file is read and converted in your browser and is never uploaded to Findora's server. Files up to 20 MB are supported.
How to use it
Choose a product CSV exported from Shopify (Products → Export) or WooCommerce (Products → Export). The source format is detected from the column names; the converter then shows a preview of the first products in the new format. Download the converted file and import it into the other platform.
Some things don't exist on both platforms. Shopify has no categories in its product file, so WooCommerce categories become the product type and tags; Shopify collections can't be created by an import. Stock quantities aren't converted, because the two platforms track stock differently: set them after importing. It's worth checking the converted file with the CSV import validator before you import it.
Why it matters
Moving between Shopify and WooCommerce usually means fighting with two different file formats. The converter does that mapping for you in seconds, so a platform move or a cross-platform client job starts from a clean import file. If your products are on a live store, Findora can also export them straight from the store in either format.
Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
What isn't converted?
Stock quantities, Shopify collections, reviews, customers and orders aren't part of a product import file. Set stock and collections after importing.
What happens to products with more than three options?
Shopify allows three options per product. The first three become options; any others are kept as tags so the information isn't lost.
Do imported products go live straight away?
No. Converted products import as drafts on both platforms, so you can check them first.
Does it use credits?
No. You need to be signed in to download the converted file, but the converter never uses credits.
