Bulk image renamer
Give product photos clean, consistent names in one go. The pictures themselves aren't changed.
Free · UnlimitedWhat the bulk renamer does
Add up to 50 images and type a name pattern. The list shows every new name straight away; download the renamed files as a ZIP. Only the names change: the image data is copied exactly, so there's no loss of quality and the files are the same size.
Everything runs in your browser; your images are never uploaded.
Pattern tokens
{name} is the original name, cleaned up (lowercase, hyphens instead of spaces). {n} is a running number starting where you choose; {nn}, {nnn} and {nnnn} add leading zeros (01, 001, 0001) so files sort correctly. {width} and {height} insert the image's size, and {ext} its file type. For example, blue-linen-shirt-{nn} gives blue-linen-shirt-01.jpg, blue-linen-shirt-02.jpg and so on. Names that would clash get -2, -3 added.
Why file names matter
Descriptive file names help search engines understand your images, make your media library easy to search, and keep supplier photos (often called things like IMG_4821.jpg) organised. Consistent names with the product name and a number also make it obvious which photo is the main one.
A naming system that works
Pick one pattern and use it for every product: the product name or handle, then a number for each photo, such as linen-shirt-blue-01. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens work everywhere, including in web addresses. Avoid spaces and special characters, which some systems change into codes like %20. Keep the main photo as 01 so it's always first.
Part of the Product Image Toolkit
This page opens Findora's Product Image Toolkit with this mode selected. The same images can also be resized to Shopify or WooCommerce sizes, converted to JPG, PNG, WebP, PDF or ICO, compressed, cropped, renamed, rotated, watermarked or cleaned of metadata: switch modes at the top and the results update. Each batch takes up to 50 images of up to 40 MB, and every file shows its size before and after, so you always know what you're downloading.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and your images never leave your device. Your activity history only records how many images were processed.
Are my images changed?
No. Only the names change; the files are copied byte for byte.
Can I keep the original names?
Yes: include {name} in the pattern, for example {name}-{n}, or use {name} alone to just clean the names up.
Why use leading zeros?
Files named 01, 02 … 10 sort in the right order everywhere; 1, 2 … 10 can sort as 1, 10, 2.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 50 images at a time, each up to 40 MB. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.
Does it use credits?
No. You need to be signed in to see and download the results, but the image toolkit is free and unlimited and never uses credits.
