What the HEIC to JPG converter does

Convert HEIC images to JPG in bulk: add up to 50 files, check the before and after file sizes, and download each image or all of them as a ZIP. It's part of Findora's Product Image Toolkit, so you can also resize, compress, crop, rename, rotate, watermark or remove metadata without switching tools.

Converting HEIC needs a browser that can open HEIC photos, which today means Safari on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Other browsers show a clear message instead.

Everything runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to Findora's server.

About HEIC files

HEIC (HEIF) is the format iPhones and iPads use for photos by default. It stores great quality in small files, but most websites, Windows computers and online stores can't open it, which is why HEIC photos are often rejected when you upload them.

HEIC photos are common when you photograph products with an iPhone. Converting them before uploading avoids rejected uploads and gives you files every program can open, including on Windows.

Why convert to JPG

Every platform, marketplace and email program accepts JPG. Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, Google Merchant Center and social networks all take it, so JPG is the safest choice when a site rejects other formats or a supplier asks for photos.

Tips for JPG images on your store

For product photos, a quality of 80 to 90 looks the same as the original at a fraction of the size. Use a white background for transparent parts if your store shows products on white, and keep the original files: every time a JPG is edited and saved again it loses a little detail. Shopify recommends square images of 2048 × 2048 pixels; use the Resize mode afterwards if your images need resizing too.

How to use it

Choose or drop your HEIC files. Set the quality: 80 to 90 keeps photos looking the same with much smaller files. Pick a background colour for transparent parts. The list shows each file's new size and dimensions as soon as it's ready. Download one file, or everything at once.

Bulk conversion, done properly

Supplier catalogues, photo shoots and website downloads rarely arrive one image at a time. Add a whole folder, up to 50 files, and the converter works through them one by one so your phone or laptop stays responsive. A file that can't be read is listed with the reason instead of stopping the batch. New file names are cleaned up automatically (lowercase, hyphens instead of spaces), which also makes them safe to use in web addresses.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and your images never leave your device. Your activity history only records how many images were processed.

Which browsers can convert HEIC?

Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac opens HEIC photos, so the converter works there. Chrome, Edge and Firefox can't read HEIC; open this page in Safari, or set your iPhone camera to “Most Compatible” so new photos are saved as JPG.

Is the photo's quality kept?

Yes. Choose a quality of 85 to 95 for the closest result; 80 still looks the same for product photos and is much smaller.

How many images can I convert at once?

Up to 50 images at a time, each up to 40 MB. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Choose photos from your gallery or files, and download the results straight to your phone. Very large photos are made a little smaller if a phone browser can't handle their full size; the results list tells you when that happens.

Does it use credits?

No. You need to be signed in to see and download the results, but the image toolkit is free and unlimited and never uses credits.
