What the image resizer does

Resize and compress up to 20 product photos at once. Choose a preset (Shopify square at 2048 × 2048 pixels or WooCommerce at 800 × 800) or your own size, decide how each photo should fit, pick JPG, WebP or PNG, and set the quality. You see each image's file size before and after, then download the images one by one or all together as a ZIP.

Your images are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to Findora's server.

Fit, crop or pad

Fit inside keeps the whole photo and makes it smaller until it fits the size you chose; it never enlarges a photo, so the shape stays as it was. Crop to fill covers the whole size and trims what sticks out, evenly on both sides, which works well when the product is in the middle. Pad to size keeps the whole photo and adds a background colour around it, so every image has exactly the same shape. Padding with white is the usual choice for a tidy, consistent product grid.

Why image size matters

Large photos straight from a camera or supplier can be several megabytes each, which makes product pages slow, especially on phones. Slow pages lose visitors and can hurt search rankings. Resizing to the size your theme actually shows and saving at a sensible quality often cuts the file size a lot with no visible difference. Using the same shape for every product also makes collection pages look neat, because images line up.

How to use it

Choose or drop your JPG, PNG or WebP files. Pick a preset or enter your own width and height, then a fit mode. JPG is the safe choice for photos; WebP gives smaller files and is supported by Shopify, WooCommerce and modern browsers; PNG keeps transparency but makes larger files. A quality of 75 to 85 is a good balance for most photos. Check the before and after sizes and download.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing and compressing happen in your browser, and the images never leave your device. Your activity history only records how many images were processed.

What size should Shopify product images be?

Shopify recommends 2048 × 2048 pixels for square product images, which is the Shopify preset here. Use the same shape for all products so collection pages line up.

What size should WooCommerce product images be?

It depends on your theme. 800 × 800 pixels is a common size that stays sharp on most themes; check your theme's settings and choose a custom size if it uses another shape.

Which format should I choose?

JPG for photos, WebP for the smallest files, and PNG only when you need transparency. If your browser can't make WebP, the image is saved as PNG and the result tells you.

Will my photos lose quality?

At a quality of 75 to 85 most photos look the same while the file gets much smaller. Fit inside never enlarges a photo; crop and pad may enlarge a small photo to fill the size, which can look soft.

Does it use credits?

No. You need to be signed in to see and download the results, but the resizer never uses credits.
