What the WebP to JPG converter does

Convert WebP images to JPG in bulk: add up to 50 files, check the before and after file sizes, and download each image or all of them as a ZIP. It's part of Findora's Product Image Toolkit, so you can also resize, compress, crop, rename, rotate, watermark or remove metadata without switching tools.

Everything runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to Findora's server.

About WebP files

WebP is a modern image format made for the web. It supports both photos and transparency and is usually 25-35% smaller than a JPG or PNG of the same quality. Every current browser can show it, but some older programs, marketplaces and editors still can't open it.

You'll often get WebP files when you save images from websites, because many stores and image services serve WebP to load faster. Supplier images downloaded from a web page are frequently WebP even when the link says .jpg.

Why convert to JPG

Every platform, marketplace and email program accepts JPG. Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, Google Merchant Center and social networks all take it, so JPG is the safest choice when a site rejects other formats or a supplier asks for photos.

Tips for JPG images on your store

For product photos, a quality of 80 to 90 looks the same as the original at a fraction of the size. Use a white background for transparent parts if your store shows products on white, and keep the original files: every time a JPG is edited and saved again it loses a little detail. Shopify recommends square images of 2048 × 2048 pixels; use the Resize mode afterwards if your images need resizing too.

How to use it

Choose or drop your WebP files. Set the quality: 80 to 90 keeps photos looking the same with much smaller files. Pick a background colour for transparent parts. The list shows each file's new size and dimensions as soon as it's ready. Download one file, or everything at once.

Bulk conversion, done properly

Supplier catalogues, photo shoots and website downloads rarely arrive one image at a time. Add a whole folder, up to 50 files, and the converter works through them one by one so your phone or laptop stays responsive. A file that can't be read is listed with the reason instead of stopping the batch. New file names are cleaned up automatically (lowercase, hyphens instead of spaces), which also makes them safe to use in web addresses.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and your images never leave your device. Your activity history only records how many images were processed.

Why can't I open WebP images?

Some older programs, Windows photo viewers, marketplaces and editors don't support WebP yet. Converting to JPG makes the image open everywhere.

What happens to transparency?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent parts get the background colour you choose. Convert to PNG instead to keep it.

How many images can I convert at once?

Up to 50 images at a time, each up to 40 MB. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Choose photos from your gallery or files, and download the results straight to your phone. Very large photos are made a little smaller if a phone browser can't handle their full size; the results list tells you when that happens.

Does it use credits?

No. You need to be signed in to see and download the results, but the image toolkit is free and unlimited and never uses credits.
