Free · UnlimitedWhat the PNG & JPG & SVG to ICO converter does
Convert PNG & JPG & SVG images to ICO in bulk: add up to 50 files, check the before and after file sizes, and download each image or all of them as a ZIP. It's part of Findora's Product Image Toolkit, so you can also resize, compress, crop, rename, rotate, watermark or remove metadata without switching tools.
Each .ico file contains your picture in every size you select.
Everything runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to Findora's server.
About PNG & JPG & SVG files
PNG is a lossless format: it keeps every pixel exactly and supports transparent backgrounds. That makes it perfect for logos, icons, screenshots and cut-out product images, but photos saved as PNG are often several times larger than the same photo as JPG.
JPG (or JPEG) is the most common photo format. It keeps files small by simplifying detail the eye barely notices, which makes it ideal for product photos, but it has no transparency and loses a little quality every time it's saved again.
SVG is a vector format: shapes and text described as code, so it stays sharp at any size. It's ideal for logos and icons, but many places, such as marketplaces, social networks and some store themes, only accept pixel images.
PNG files often come from design programs, screenshots and background-removal tools. A cut-out product on a transparent PNG is the most flexible starting point: you can place it on any background later.
JPG files come from almost every camera, phone and supplier. Because each save loses a little detail, it's best to keep your original photos and convert copies, rather than editing and re-saving the same JPG many times.
Converting an SVG to PNG is the usual way to use a vector logo in places that need a picture file: social profiles, marketplaces, email signatures and watermarks.
Why use ICO
ICO is the icon format used for website favicons (the little picture in the browser tab) and Windows icons. One .ico file holds the same picture in several sizes, so it looks sharp everywhere. Many store themes and website builders ask for an ICO favicon.
Tips for ICO favicons on your store
Start from a square logo or symbol with a transparent background, and keep it simple: at 16 × 16 pixels fine details and text disappear. Upload the .ico in your store's theme settings (on WordPress: Appearance › Customize › Site Identity › Site Icon accepts PNG too) and clear your browser cache to see it.
How to use it
Choose or drop your PNG & JPG & SVG files. The list shows each file's new size and dimensions as soon as it's ready. Download one file, or everything at once.
Bulk conversion, done properly
Supplier catalogues, photo shoots and website downloads rarely arrive one image at a time. Add a whole folder, up to 50 files, and the converter works through them one by one so your phone or laptop stays responsive. A file that can't be read is listed with the reason instead of stopping the batch. New file names are cleaned up automatically (lowercase, hyphens instead of spaces), which also makes them safe to use in web addresses.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and your images never leave your device. Your activity history only records how many images were processed.
Which sizes should a favicon have?
16×16, 32×32 and 48×48 cover browsers; add 256×256 for desktop shortcuts. Those four are selected by default.
Will my logo be squashed?
No. Non-square images are centred on a transparent square, so the shape stays the same.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 50 images at a time, each up to 40 MB. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Choose photos from your gallery or files, and download the results straight to your phone. Very large photos are made a little smaller if a phone browser can't handle their full size; the results list tells you when that happens.
Does it use credits?
No. You need to be signed in to see and download the results, but the image toolkit is free and unlimited and never uses credits.
